In the middle of the week I received my new T4 and started to build it and prepare for the weekend races. I couldnâ™t wait to race with the new chassis. A week ago I borrowed the new T4 from Martin Hudy in Trencin and I was amazed by its great performance.
On Saturday we arriving to Rtyne. First race and Iâ™m thrilled. Right from the box and with basic setup the car is fast, stable through the chicanes, no sign of any trouble at all. I only add 1mm shims under rear shock absorbers.
The problem I have are batteries. I have two sets of LRP LiPos and each performs differently.
In the first qualification run Iâ™m still getting familiar with the chassis. Start from the fifth place a moving up through the field is a bit challenging. But with the carâ™s great performance and my concentration Iâ™m getting rewarded and starting the 3rd and 4th qualification runs from the first place.
The first final leg I start from the first place but due to weak battery I soon start to speed and finish 2nd. I win the next final run, so the winner is still not decided. I saved the best batteries for the last run and right after the start I feel it was a good decision resulting in an easy win.
